Multi-family construction is still booming.Q
It’s late August and we have not seen a slow down in the multi-family sector here in Nashville. Our clients, developers and builders are all still full steam ahead. Here are some updates on two of our 4-unit builds under construction. Both of these projects were impacted by the RM-20 zoning height restrictions where at 30’ in height, you must follow a 2:1 slope plane. Ironically, the zoning allows no such height restrictions on the 2-family build next door that is not our project. You can clearly see while our project is larger, the 2-family home is more dominate.

Once a property has more than two units on one lot, hire a design professional to find creative ways to minimize this zoning height restriction on your project.
